Community Focus Federal Credit Union (CFFCU) is happy to announce the 2019 Cash for Class Grants for Teachers. Teachers can each win up to $250.00 to fund the purchase of supplies, equipment or implementation of special projects for their classrooms.The program is open to all teachers who live, work, or worship in one of the 18 Downriver communities served by CFFCU including Allen Park, Brownstown, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Lincoln, Park, Melvindale, New Boston, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Taylor, Trenton, Waltz, Willow, Woodhaven, Wyandotte. Teachers must be certified K-12 educators serving in public, private, parochial, or charter schools. All applications are due Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

Project Name: From Carton to Garden

Details: Artful transformation of recycled containers into an indoor school garden.


Amanda Pratt - Woodhaven High School, Woodhaven

Project Name: DNA All Day

Details: Purchase of MiniOne Electrophoresis System that would offer a hands-one approach to microbiology and biotechnology in the school lab.
